JACKSONVILLE, FL (May 14, 2013) - On Saturday, May 18, 2013 in honor of Bike Day Jax ReCycle will be at the Riverside Arts Market from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be accepting donations of new helmets and used bicycles, parts and locks. Help us spread the word so we can get even more bikes donated. Everything donated will be refurbished by volunteers and donated to Sulzbacher Center for residents who need them for transportation to work, school, or job interviews.

HOPE Across the Globe, Inc, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping create an AIDS-Free generation in Jacksonville, and "across the globe," is holding its 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, April 22, 2013. The event will take place at Marsh Landing Country Club, and will start at 1:00 PM, with a scramble format. Registration will begin at 11:00 AM. The entry fee is $190 per player, or a foursome fee at $700. The donation will include golf on the exclusive members-only course, a boxed lunch, and a buffet award dinner with Silent Auction.

In the following years, many of the Steps ignored the conventional wisdom ("Don't quit your day job!"), and although not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers, taken together the performers have worked in a total of 18 Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience.
